Gabriel Martinelli gives surprising answer when naming the fastest player at Arsenal
Arsenal have a number of incredibly quick players in their squad right now.
Bukayo Saka is a serious speedster, while Leandro Trossard and William Saliba are no slouches in their own rights.
However, the common consensus has been that Gabriel Martinelli is the fastest player at Arsenal.
Indeed, Jurrien Timber has claimed that Martinelli is the quickest player at Arsenal, while Jorginho has also praised Martinelli for his pace.
However, according to the attacker, there is a player at Arsenal who is even faster than he is.
Indeed, speaking to Men in Blazers, Martinelli has named Kieran Tierney as the fastest player at Arsenal.

According to Martinelli, Tierney is actually the fastest player at Arsenal.
The man hasn’t played a single game for Arsenal so far this season.
Tierney was reportedly set to leave Arsenal in the summer if he hadn’t been injured.
“Who’s the second fastest player at Arsenal after you by the way?” Martinelli was asked.
“I don’t know, we have KT (Kieran Tierney) and I think he’s quicker than me to be fair, so he’s the first one and I’m the second,” Martinelli said.

Of course, Tierney hasn’t played a single game for Arsenal this season, and it’s unclear whether or not he will retain his pace after his injury.
However, based on his top speed at Euro 2024 compared to other Arsenal players’ speed this season, Tierney is indeed the fastest player at the club.
Interestingly, William Saliba is also slightly quicker than Martinelli, and the centre-back’s pace shouldn’t be underrated.
The pace that is in the Arsenal squad is certainly one of the Gunners’ most important weapons, and who knows? Perhaps Tierney can still work his way back into this Arsenal team once he returns from injury.
