Arsenal’s summer transfer window is yet to really get going.

Indeed, while the Gunners’ rivals are firing on all cylinders, Arsenal are yet to make their first signing of the summer.

Liverpool have already signed Jeremie Frimpong, while Manchester City have added four new players to their ranks already.

Martin Zubimendi is close to joining Arsenal, but, as of yet, no announcement has been made on that front.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have already missed out on a few targets this summer.

Arsenal wanted Matheus Cunha, but he’s headed to Manchester United, while Arsenal were keen on Dean Huijsen too before his move to Real Madrid.

Now, Arsenal look set to miss out on another transfer target.

Arsenal set to miss out on Leroy Sane

Arsenal were interested in signing Leroy Sane earlier in this transfer window.

However, now, it looks like Sane is headed elsewhere as he closes in on a rather surprising career move away from Bayern Munich.

Indeed, it has been reported that Sane is set to head to Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig.

Arsenal fans had reservations over the idea of signing Sane, but there’s one man at the Emirates who may be gutted to see the German heading to Turkey.

Gabriel Jesus may be gutted to see Leroy Sane headed elsewhere

Gabriel Jesus may be disappointed to see Sane headed to Galatasaray as, at one point, it looked like Sane could’ve come to Arsenal.

Of course, Jesus and Sane know one another very well from their time at Manchester City, and, during that period, they struck up a brilliant connection on the pitch.

Sane and Jesus played only 72 games together, but they were borderline unbeatable during that time, losing just eight matches in that run.

Jesus had 49 goal contributions in the 72 games he played with Sane, and that is a remarkable return for a player who only had three goal contributions in 17 league games this season.

The Brazilian may have been thinking about rediscovering his best form alongside Sane at Arsenal had he arrived this summer, but now, it would appear this reunion isn’t on the cards in north London.
