Gabriel Agbonlahor urges £250k-a-week player to leave Manchester United now
Gabby Agbonlahor has urged Jadon Sancho to leave Manchester United and rejoin Borussia Dortmund.
Jadon Sancho has endured a miserable spell at Old Trafford since joining from Dortmund back in the summer of 2021.
The Englishman penned a five-year deal at the time, earning a weekly wage worth around .
Despite displaying glimpses of his quality, Sancho has failed to establish himself as a regular starter at Manchester United after arriving off the back of a brilliant spell in Germany.
The 23-year-old hasn’t played a single minute of football since August after a public fallout with Erik ten Hag.

Dortmund are now actively on loan.
And Gabriel Agbonlahor feels it’s a move that Sancho simply must make in order to get his career back on track.
Agbonlahor urges Sancho to leave United
Speaking on , Agbonlahor sympathised with Sancho and pointed to the performances of Antony as a possible reason behind his frustration at United.
“That’s probably the main thing that really annoyed Sancho was every game Antony, nothing,” the former Villa man said. “The next game he starts, nothing.
“So as a player, imagine you’re training and you’re like I’m not going to get a chance. This guy is obsessed with playing his big signing that managers do when they make a big signing, £86 million, and the player’s not performing.
“They try to keep making it work so their boss doesn’t look at it and say you’re wasting money on a player.
“But even you look at [Anthony] Elanga, he got sold for £14 million to Forest. He’s got four goals and six assists. Antony’s got zero goals and zero assists. You spent £86 million [on Antony].
“So, you sold a player who’s gone on to do better things for £14 million. Antony is doing nothing.
“Jadon Sancho’s probably sitting there thinking ‘I’m training hard, I’m not getting a chance.’ Maybe he’s taken the foot off his gas in training, the manager’s called him out and he’s had a go back.
“For me, Sancho’s got to go back to Dortmund. He got 38 goals in 104 games at Dortmund. Get your career back on track and hopefully, he’ll start scoring goals again.”

Sancho has attracted interest from Tottenham and Saudi Arabia over the past few months.
But a move to Dortmund would surely be the right choice for the winger at this stage of his career.
He thrived during his time in the Bundesliga and a familiar place may be exactly what he needs to kickstart his career.
It just hasn’t worked out for him at United and while Ten Hag remains in charge, there’s likely to be no way back for him.
