Gabriel Agbonlahor thinks £70m player will already be telling his agent to get him away from Man United

Gabriel Agbonlahor thinks a £70m Manchester United player will already be telling his agent to get him away from the club.

Man United have endured a torrid season and currently reside in eighth place, 13 points adrift of fourth-placed Aston Villa.

Aspirations of qualifying for the Champions League are long gone but they still have a chance to finish inside the top six.

An FA Cup final against rivals Manchester City still awaits, too, but it’s become pretty evident that major change needs to happen this summer.

With that said, Agbonlahor thinks one player will already be desperate to leave the club.

Gabriel Agbonlahor shares Jadon Sancho verdict

Former Aston Villa striker, speaking on talkSPORT, has shared what he thinks Jadon Sancho will be telling his agent ahead of a potential return to United this summer.

“I just don’t get it because he’s a different player compared to what he was at Man United. He is flying past players, he has got the arrogance. That good arrogance,” he .

“He’s floating past players, doing one-twos, he just looks like the player who Manchester United paid that big money for but he will be one of those players now, saying to his agent, I don’t even want to go back there for pre-season.

“He does not want to go back to Manchester, never mind Manchester United. That can work in Man United’s favour, for getting decent money for him.”

Jadon Sancho’s value is rising

Sancho’s Dortmund loan has massively increased his stock and transfer value.

Having outlaid on his signature in 2021, for a time, it looked as though they’d struggle to recoup half of that fee if he were to move on permanently.

But after his sensational showings for the German club, particularly on the glamorous stage of the Champions League, he’ll be sought after this summer.

In fact, his form has been so impressive, that perhaps United wouldn’t rule out reintegrating him into the squad if indeed the issue with Erik ten Hag is resolved.

A telling summer awaits.
