Gabriel Agbonlahor sends message to new West Brom star, after Aston Villa past

Callum Robinson made his debut for West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon as the Baggies earned a comfortable 2-0 win over Luton Town – but Gabby Agbonlahor has blasted the former Aston Villa youth player for joining West Brom.

Robinson, 25, joined newly-promoted Premier League side Sheffield United in the summer from Preston North End – after scoring 12 Championship goals in 27 league games. he cost £10million, including add-ons.

The Ireland international has struggled in the Premier League, though, despite Sheffield United’s stunning campaign so far. Robinson managed just one Premier League goal against Chelsea, starting just nine of his 16 Premier League outings.

The Blades have brought in Richairo Zivkovic from Chinese side Changchun Yatai on loan, and that convinced Robinson to move on loan. He posted on Instagram after starting and finishing the 2-0 win over Luton at The Hawthorns.

Robinson came through the ranks at Aston Villa, before making his debut for the club in September 2013 in the Carabao Cup against Tottenham. He managed five appearances in total for Villa, before moving to Preston in 2016.

Villa icon Agbonlahor, who played for Villa while Robinson was coming through the ranks and then alongside him in the senior team, commented on Robinson’s Instagram – saying their friendship was on the line after Robinson moved to the Baggies.
