Gabriel Agbonlahor says Manchester United should be trying to sign £45m attacker this month

With the January transfer window now in full flow, Gabriel Agbonlahor has named one player who could be an ideal signing for Manchester United.

It remains to be seen if Erik ten Hag’s side will be busy this month, however, the side could definitely do with a boost.

Perhaps offloading some expensive players on the periphery of things could be as important as those arriving.

But with reports emerging yesterday that United would be very keen to sign Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise, it seems business could be done.

And when speaking on , Gabby Agbonlahor was convinced that Olise would be a stellar signing for United.

Perhaps the winger would cost a lot more than a asking price quoted in the past, but Agbonlahor’s comments suggest he could be worth it.

Agbonlahor said: “At the moment 100% he improves that Manchester United forward line.

“When he is on it, he can be off it, but when he’s on it he has pace, power, skill, technique, he can get past a player, composure with his finishing.

“He has everything that you need to be at a top club. I think at his age, 22, he is the sort of signing Manchester United should look at. I think thumbs up.”

Gabriel Agbonlahor thinks Michael Olise would be a great signing for Man United

Of course, with Jadon Sancho looking likely to leave United in this window, funds may be available.

Ten Hag’s side do currently look light in wide areas, and the England winger surely would be replaced if he left.

And there’s little doubt that Olise would be an excellent signing for any top side – even if his injuries are becoming a worry.

Moreover, as Agbonlahor mentions, Olise could still improve a ton if he moved to United, a signing that looks a great idea all round.

The Palace winger did recently sign a new deal with his club, which could make things slightly harder.

However, as we’ve seen with the deal for Antony in the past, ten Hag is willing to commit big for the right player.

And on the topic of Man United forwards, Gary Neville has now named the best striker he ever played with at the club
