Gabriel Agbonlahor says he’s ‘frightened’ of one Tottenham player ahead of Aston Villa clash

Aston Villa take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday, and Gabriel Agbonlahor has claimed that he’s terrified of one Spurs player.

The two clubs are battling it out to finish fourth this season. Aston Villa are five points clear of Tottenham at the moment, but Spurs do have a game in hand and could reduce the gap to just two points on Sunday. Skipper Heung-min Son will be key.

Gabriel Agbonlahor says he’s scared of Heung-min Son before Aston Villa vs Tottenham

Heung-min Son is one of Tottenham‘s best players.

The ‘world-class‘ South Korean has been amazing for Spurs over the years, and he has handled the responsibility of being the captain incredibly well since the start of this campaign.

In 22 starts in the Premier League this term, Son has scored 13 goals and provided six assists. He is having a fine season, and on his day, he can destroy any team.

Up next for Tottenham are Aston Villa, who play a risky high-line. We’re sure Son will be licking his lips at the prospect of running in behind, and Gabriel Agbonlahor has now admitted that he’s terrified of the Spurs captain.

The pundit said on : “Listen, this is going to be the best game of the day. Two teams, high lines, space in behind, all I can see is goals.

“As much as I’d like to say an Aston Villa win, I’m frightened of [Heung-min] Son, I’m frightened of the pace they’ve got in behind, Spurs. I’m going to go with a high-scoring 3-3 draw.”

Tottenham can exploit Aston Villa’s high line

Aston Villa have had success with Unai Emery‘s high-line, but it has cost them as well.

One of the last teams you’d want to play a high line against is Ange Postecoglou‘s Tottenham, whose attackers just love running in behind.

Spurs also have James Maddison, who is an expert in threading in through balls to the likes of Son Heung-min, Timo Werner and Brennan Johnson.

If Tottenham play their cards right, they could really hurt Aston Villa on Sunday. However, Spurs’ defensive stats aren’t great, so we expect Emery’s men to have plenty of chances too.
