Gabriel Agbonlahor says £70m Man United player looks like he’s trying to get sent off every game

Gabriel Agbonlahor has now been discussing a Manchester United player who he’s been growing increasingly concerned about his season.

Erik ten Hag’s side have enjoyed a huge upturn in form recently, winning four Premier League matches in a row.

The likes of Rasmus Hojlund and Kobbie Mainoo are inspiring winning performances, which is particularly pleasing for fans given their rich potential.

And perhaps even the likes of Raphael Varane and Harry Maguire are coming back into form, experienced heads who have been criticised at different points of the season.

However, in order to continue this new success, there’s clearly a need to improve United’s work in the transfer market in this new era under Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

United have made a ton of costly mistakes in recent seasons, falling victim to their scatter-gun approach.

And when speaking on this morning, pundit Gabriel Agbonlahor thought United had often panicked in the transfer market of late.

Moreover, when discussing a player United shelled out for, Casemiro, Agbonlahor had some strong thoughts of his performances this season.

Gabriel Agbonlahor says Casemiro has been reckless for Man United this season

The pundit mentioned that Casemiro still had three years left on a contract he believed to be very lucrative, one he suggests now looks ill-advised.

Agbonlahor said: “I look at the signings they have made, panic signings, especially Casemiro.

“He has three years left on crazy money. He looks like he is trying to get sent off every time he plays, he gets booked and then he does another one.”

Of course, it is pretty remarkable to consider these comments, when it wasn’t so long ago that Casemiro was being hailed as Man United’s best player.

The fee and the wages to sign Casemiro were high, but they looked worth every penny for a long while.

However, the 31-year-old has offered nowhere near as much for ten Hag this campaign.

And perhaps some United fans will agree that Casemiro has looked reckless in his displays for United this season.

It’s definitely a situation for ten Hag to ponder, a manager who always had a lot on his plate.

And speaking of managers, Wayne Rooney has now named a United boss he believed to be a better tactician than Sir Alex Ferguson
