Gabby Agbonlahor shares how he thinks Philippe Coutinho will fit in Villa starting XI
Gabby Agbonlahor has posted on Instagram following the sensational announcement thaꦇt Aston Villa have signed Philippe Coutinho. Agbonlahor has shared how he would include Coutinho in his starting XI.
Coutinho, 29, had been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League over the last few days. The likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, Newcastle a𒁏nd plenty more had been touted as possible landing spots for Coutinho.
But the influence and draw of Steven Ge♏rrard has won the race for Coutinho. While he has struggled at Barcelona – playing just 106 times in four years at Barcelona – he is still a diffe♉rent calibre of player that Villa fans are used to.
Agbonlahor posted on Instag⛄ram, underlining his delight at the loan signing of Coutinho – 🥀which does include a permanent clause. He then commented on his own post, saying Coutinho could play in a front three.

Agbonlahor on Coutinho: Surely, he will not be used out wide by Villa?
Cout⛦inho is a top, top player. He is capable of magic and at 29, he still has plenty of energy left in his legs. But is he going to run the channel? Is he going to get to the byline? Is he going to cross in, or cut inside and shoot?
Coutinho pulls the strings and is best in the middle of the park. So, Gerrard needs to find a way in which he can play with a no.10. A 4-2-3-1 syst💧em might work, with Watkins one side and Leon Bailey the other behind Ings.
Hꦫowever, that is an incredibly attacking side – and probably harsh on Jacob Ramsey would drop out, given John Mc✤Ginn and Douglas Luiz would start. It is a tricky one, with Emi Buendia also finding form of late.
