Gabby Agbonlahor sends Instagram post to Aston Villa star Matty Cash
Matty Cash helped Aston Villa to a win over Arsenal and then received some praise on Instagram from Gabby Agbonlahor.
The Villans won the three points courtesy of an early Ollie Watkins goal which came after some poor defending by Cedric.
Dean Smith’s team are eighth in the Premier League and this season represents a real turnaround on the 2019/20 campaign.
Part of the reason for their good form is down to signings such as Watkins and Cash during the summer.
Both checked in from the Championship and have represented a refreshing change in strategy as far as the transfer market goes.
Following yesterday’s game, former Villa Park hero Agbonlahor heaped praise on Cash.
Cash has been superb for Villa this season and is one of the top-performing right-backs in the Premier League.
Some eyebrows were raised when the club parted with to sign the player from Nottingham Forest.
Cash has made a seamless transition to top-flight action though and is proving value for money.
The 23-year-old has only been playing in the right full-back position for just over a year but his stock continues to rise.

He has played all but one of Villa’s 21 league fixtures this season and the future looks bright.
Watkins is taking the plaudits for his goals but it’s perhaps Cash who has provided the best value for money from the transfer market.
Agbonlahor scored 86 times in 391 appearances for Villa and was a favourite among supporters.
Cash is well on his way to being worshipped by the Villans faithful and they’ll look forward to the day they can be in the stadium to see him in action.
