Gabby Agbonlahor says Tottenham will become ‘frightening’ if they sign 27-year-old PL star now
TalkSPORT pundit Gabby Agbonlahor has urged Tottenham to sign Ivan Toney from Brentford in the January transfer window.
Ange Postecoglou’s side are currently fourth in the Premier League table. Spurs have recovered well after going five games without a win, and they’ve now won three in a row. The January transfer window is just a week away now, and Agbonlahor believes Tottenham will become a ‘frightening’ team if they sign Toney.

Gabby Agbonlahor urges Tottenham to sign Ivan Toney
Tottenham have a very strong attack when everybody’s fit and available.
Hueng-min Son is one of the best forwards in the Premier League, while Dejan Kulusevski has been absolutely incredible this season.
James Maddison was arguably the best player in the country before he got injured, and to everyone’s surprise, Richarlison is firing now too, having scored four goals in his last three games.
Tottenham will, however, lose Son for a few weeks when he goes away to represent South Korea. They still haven’t replaced Harry Kane either, which is not ideal in the long run.
That’s why Gabby Agbonlahor has urged Ange Postecoglou to go and sign a new striker next month, and he believes the best option is 27-year-old Ivan Toney.
The pundit told : “Spurs are another one that needs to go out and get Ivan Toney, if I was Brentford I’d have an auction, I’d say, ‘Here’s the amount, going once, going twice…’
“Spurs have got in great signings, [Micky] Van de Ven, [James] Maddison, [Destiny] Udogie has come in from his [Udinese] loan, [Yves] Bissouma is playing better, get a striker!
“[Dejan] Kulusevski on the right, Son [Heung-min] on the left, a top striker like Toney with Maddison in behind, Spurs would be frightening!”

Toney would be amazing at Tottenham
Tottenham deserve a lot of credit for performing as well as they have done this season despite losing Harry Kane right before the start of the campaign.
The Englishman is one of the best strikers in the world. He carried Spurs on his back for years, and even though he hasn’t really been missed, Tottenham could do with a player like him.
Of course, bringing the England captain back is out of the question at the moment. So, the next best thing would be to sign Ivan Toney, a player who Declan Rice compared to Kane last year.
A front three of Son, Toney, and Kulusevski with Maddison pulling the strings from behind them would really make Tottenham a scary side to face.
