‘Future Spurs legend’: Some fans are expecting big things from 21-year-old

A number of Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to wish Oliver Skipp a happy birthday.

The Tottenham academy graduate, who’s been tipped for big things at N17, turned 21 on Thursday.

Skipp is one of the brightest players to come through the Tottenham ranks in recent years.

The last three men in the Spurs dugout before Nuno Espirito Santo all sung the midfielder’s praises.

Ryan Mason has called Skipp an “incredible talent”, Jose Mourinho he’d be a “future captain” and Mauricio Pochettino he was a “top” player destined for a big career.

Skipp was on loan at Norwich last season and was instrumental in their successful promotion challenge.

He played 45 times for the Canaries as they cruised back into the Premier League under Daniel Farke.

Skipp is now an established Tottenham first-teamer, playing the full 90 minutes in each of Spurs’ four Premier league games this term.
