‘Fully deserved’, ‘class act’: Some Leeds fans react as ‘unbelievable’ player earns Euro 2020 call-up
A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to praise Diego Llorente after the Whites defender was named in Spain’s squad for Euro 2020 this summer.
The 27-year-old joined Leeds in an £18million deal from Real Sociedad last summer, penning a four-year contract with the Premier League newcomers.
Llorente endured a tricky first half of the season at Elland Road, not making his Whites debut until December due to an injury picked up on international duty.

The Spaniard was then sidelined twice more, meaning he only featured twice in the Premier League prior to the Southampton game in February.
However, Llorente returned to action against the Saints and played in all but one of Leeds’ Premier League games after that, missing the season finale against West Brom due to a knock.
Llorente now has the opportunity to play in his first major tournament and add to his seven caps by being named in Luis Enrique’s 26-man squad.
