Fulham’s tumultuous season reached a new nadir in their FA Cup third round clash with Oldham Athletic yesterday as they slipped to a 2-1 home defeat against the managerless League Two outfit.

Captain Tom Cairney’s mazy run ended with a dubious penalty decision after the most minimal of contact but the Serbian striker could not find the net with his spot-kick.
