Fulham have just tried to seal a late deadline day deal for £125k-a-week Arsenal player
It’s turning into a really frantic final few hours of the transfer window and even Fulham have tried getting in on the act it seems by approaching Arsenal.
The Cottagers have had a good window in the main and have signed some big players like Emile Smith Rowe and Sander Berge.
However, as with every club at this stage, late deals are always possible and it looks like Fulham have tried to get another done in the last few hours.
With movement at Arsenal thanks to the impending signing of Raheem Sterling, suddenly it meant Gunners players were on the chopping block.
And according to journalist Ryan Taylor, Fulham tried to exploit that by making a move for Reiss Nelson.

Fulham try and fail to sign Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson
Taking to X to explain how Fulham made an attempt to sign Nelson from Arsenal, Taylor explained the following and revealed another incoming is on its way anyway.
“Fulham tried to execute late deal for Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson. Was straight shootout between them & Ipswich Town, who are on track to seal straight loan.
“Fulham now in advanced talks to beat Everton & Nottingham Forest to Lyon’s Ernest Nuamah,” Taylor .
Nelson has been angling for a move all summer but looked set to stay when the Gunners let Fabio Vieira depart.
However, Nelson is now close to joining Ipswich, who are set to pick up his £125k-a-week wages.
Leicester also showed a late interest in Nelson but it looks like Ipswich have won the race.
Nelson will be hoping his move away from Arsenal finally result in him being able to show what he can do.
Despite signing a new deal with the Gunners a few seasons back, Nelson has never had much chance under Mikel Arteta.
A big season, then, could lie ahead for yet another Hale End academy product moving on from the Gunners.
