Fulham have an impressive young defender who has been named as one of England’s brightest prospects
Fulham are set to make their return to Premier League action this weekend following the latest international break.
It has been a promising start for Marco Silva‘s side who are currently sat in ninth spot of the table and above Tottenham Hotspur after seven games.
However, there is a huge challenge coming up for Fulham on the weekend when they face Aston Villa at Craven Cottage.
There was a lot of positive moves made by the Cottagers over the summer to bring in players like Emile Smith Rowe.
And that is a move which has certainly paid off with the Englishman already looking like a real asset for the club.
But it seems as if there is already one exciting youngster in their ranks who is now catching the eye of the staff within Craven Cottage.

Fulham youngster is impressing behind the scenes
With a solid start to the season, Fulham are not looking to rest on their laurels with further improvement in the upcoming transfer window.
It has been claimed Fulham are one of the sides looking at Liverpool’s Wataru Endo as a potential option for the January market.
However, there is a player who is looking to make the step up from the youth side this season having impressed the coaches behind the scenes.

Speaking in ‘s Next Generation list, journalist Jacob Steinberg waxed lyrical about the young Fulham defender Logan Cooke.
“Cooke, who hails from Gosport, has made big strides since joining Fulham eight years ago. A left-sided centre-back, he has impressed club staff with his leadership and commanding style of defending,” said Steinberg.
“He has captained the under-16s, played for the under-18s and is moving in the right direction. He is settled at Fulham and has also stood out because of his ability on the ball, catching the eye with his ability to switch play with both feet.
“Cooke will hope to establish himself in a higher age group this season.”
Who is Logan Cooke?
The young centre-back is currently operating at U18 level where he has played every minute of Fulham’s U18 Premier League campaign so far.
Cooke has already played almost double the amount of minutes for Fulham’s U18s this season as he did the entirety of the 2023/24 campaign.
A big step up is on the cards with the centre-back catching the eye of the Fulham staff but it has to be mentioned that he is yet to feature in the Premier League 2 yet.
What is perhaps most impressive is how the youngster has stood out with his leadership skills at such a young age which will certainly catch the eyes of those high up at the club.
