Fulham fans tear into side for lack of spirit in defeat to Manchester City
Fulham fell to a seventh consecutive Premier League defeat on Saturday, losing 2-0 to table toppers Manchester City.
The Citizens only needed five minutes to break the deadlock, and when Sergio Aguero swept home with half an hour gone, the match was all but over.
Fulham supporters tore into their side for a lack of spirit during the match, questioning the desire of a group of players who seem resigned to their fate of relegation.
When Fulham’s official account tweeted the final score and claimed the second half display was “spirited,” supporters took exception on Twitter.

Two terrible giveaways from Joe Bryan and Timothy Fosu-Mensah led to the two goals and it wasn’t lost on supporters that both players were summer signings.

In all, it was a torrid day for Fulham supporters, with another loss simply bringing relegation ever closer. There were positives to take from the match, such as the bright touches of Floyd Ayite and the ambitious runs of Ryan Sessegnon, but the squad looked bereft of confidence.
On Tuesday, Fulham travel to Watford and hope they can break their abysmal run of losses when they arrive at Vicarage Road.
