France vs Germany: Some Spurs fans laud Euro 2020 display of 27-year-old they’ve reportedly bid for

A number of Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Matthias Ginter’s display in the final opening game of Euro 2020 of France vs Germany.

Ginter has been a real stalwart of Joachim Low’s side this year. The 27-year-old was making his sixth international appearance of 2021 in Munich.

It ultimately proved to be a disappointing night for the champions of 1996. Ginter’s centre-back partner Mats Hummels put the ball through his own net in the first-half to put France in front.

And despite improving during the second-half, Germany were unable to get themselves back in the game.

There were certainly some positives for the Germans to take however. They pushed the side tipped by many to win the tournament at times.

And they will take some encouragement into the final two group games with Portugal and Hungary.

There were also some impressive displays on show. And Ginter was arguably the best performer for Low’s men.

Plenty of Spurs supporters took to social media to laud the Borussia Monchengladbach star’s display.

He seemed to deal extremely well with the frightening attack that France boast.

And the praise is potentially significant amid reports about Ginter last month.

, Tottenham have made a bid for Ginter, who is also attracting interest from Liverpool this summer.

It remains to be seen if Spurs decide to step up their reported interest later this summer. But it would certainly appear that many of their supporters would love to see him signed after the display he put in before he was substituted in the second-half.
