Four big name players Manchester City should sell this summer

Manchester City are a side who are better known for spending money in the transfer window, but a large part of their transfer business this summer will be in offloading those players who are no longer needed by manager Pep Guardiola, as he looks to shape his City side come the next Premier League season.

So who are the players likely to be on the Etihad exit list this summer?

Joe Hart

England’s number one goalkeeper has had a fantastic time at the Citizens, but since Guardiola has come in, he has fallen out of favour and dropped down the pecking order, so much so he spent last season on loan at Italian club Torino.

Exiled at City, the 30-year-old is desperate to prove a point and he has returned to England with a few clubs after him, with Liverpool and West Ham among the bookmakers favourites, according to , Hart needs to make a move to reignite his career and to show he is still worthy of England’s number one jersey.

Eliaquim Mangala

The defender who cost Man City a whopping £42 million when he signed from Porto in the summer of 2014 also looks set for an exit. Mangala has failed to make an impact for City and spent the season on loan at Valencia where he made 32 appearances.

Manager Pep Guardiola looks set on a centre-back partnership made up of John Stones, Vincent Kompany or Nicolas Otamendi, either as a two or a three. This leaves no space for the Frenchman.

Mangala has interest from the Premier League and abroad with Rafa Benitez keen to add him to his promoted Newcastle side while Lyon are reported to have made a move for the Frenchman, according to the .
