Former team-mate compares West Ham star Ryan Fredericks’ work-rate to Harry Kane’s

West Ham United defender Ryan Fredericks has been praised by a former team-mate for the way he used to apply himself in training at Tottenham Hotspur.

He came through the ranks at Tottenham Hotspur at the same time as Fredericks, who went on to become a West Ham player in 2018 after spells at Bristol City and Fulham.

, Lameiras compared Fredericks to Harry Kane when it came to meticulous work on the training ground.

“[Harry Kane was a] very good player. His strongest [attribute] was his mindset.

“After training there he was training a bit more. Ryan Fredericks [now at West Ham] was the same thing.”

Kane’s work rate is well documented and West Ham fans will not be surprised to hear that Fredericks was the same.

After a difficult start to life with the Hammers through form and injury, the 26-year-old has worked hard to prove himself at the London Stadium.

This season he has cemented his place as the first-choice right-back and been a key player in Manuel Pellegrini’s side’s impressive start to the new season.

Hopefully, Fredericks can continue to work hard for the West Ham cause going forward.
