Rangers suffered Europa League disappointment at the hands of Rapid Vienna last night and will be looking to make a winning return to domestic action when they host Hamilton on Sunday.
Steven Gerrard’s side are going through a sticky patch and the former Liverpool man has still not quite settled on his best formula.
Changes will be expected again here, to allow Gerrard to combat tiredness and engineer a reaction from his side following their midweek engagements.
So we’ve picked out a predicted XI that Gerrard will hope can get all three points on Sunday…

Goalkeeper and Defence

Allan McGregor will keep his place in goal and captain James Tavernier is similarly nailed on to start at right back.
Connor Goldson came closest to scoring for Rangers in Vienna – his first half header crashed off the bar – and will play at the heart of his defence, but Gerrard has a decision to make over the identity of his partner.
Joe Worrall and Gareth McAuley have had opportunities in recent weeks, but both have looked shaky, so it may be time for Nikola Katic to come back into the starting lineup.
If the 22-year-old is recalled, he should expect to find his countryman Borna Barisic in the backline with him, at left back.
Midfield

Ryan Jack was Rangers’ best midfielder in Vienna and should expect to keep his place for this one. Gerrard threw Ross McCrorie into defensive midfield last night, but it would be a surprise to see that experiment repeated here.
Lassana Coulibaly was erratic also, and given Gerrard threw Jordan Rossiter in for Rangers’ last meeting with Hamilton, he could be tempted to do so again, but the Malian may just get the nod.
Scott Arfield played on the right last night but couldn’t get into the game, and will hope to return to a number 10 role.
Forwards

Alfredo Morelos was suspended for the trip to Dundee last time out but should lead the line here.
Ryan Kent’s allows Glenn Middleton another opportunity out on the left, while Daniel Candeias missed the midweek defeat but will be hoping to come straight back in for this one.
