‘Forgot how good he is’: Some Arsenal fans were stunned by ‘solid’ ace in 1-0 win vs. Norwich
Arsenal are up and running in the Premier League after a against Norwich City.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s sole goal was all that separated the two sides as Mikel Arteta’s side finally claimed their first win in the Premier League this season.
Arsenal struggled for most of the game to hit the target despite the likes of Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka creating plenty of chances against Norwich.

However, Aubameyang finally managed to break the deadlock with a scruffy goal to give the hosts their first goal and points of the season.
It was a much-changed Arsenal side from the one that faced Manchester City before the international break. With the likes of Takahiro Tomiyasu and Aaron Ramsdale starting against Norwich.
Ben White also returned to the defence, as did Gabriel Magalhaes, who made his first start of the new season. And the Brazilian international was impressive on his Arsenal return against Norwich.
The former Lille star marshalled the defence well. And Gabriel made a huge block late in the game to deny Norwich a goalscoring opportunity.

Indeed, it was the perfect defensive display from Gabriel alongside his new partner in crime White. And on social media, Arsenal fans were buzzing with how the defender kept Norwich at bay for most of the match.
Here’s what some Arsenal supporters had to say about Gabriel on Twitter…
Completely forgot how good Gabriel is. Especially when you watched Mari, Holding and Chambers the weeks before.

Norwich had way too many chances for my liking. We're still wide open in midfield. Pepe, Tomi and Gabriel all good. ESR excellent off the bench

Even though it’s Norwich Gabriel and white had a great game

Finally a win, 1-0. Though old habits remain & was far from comfortable in the end against a bang-average Norwich side. Tomiyasu excellent debut & Gabriel solid at the back. Midfield a mixed bag as was Pepe, but Auba worked hard throughout. Cohesion really lacking still though.
