Forget Milik, Krzysztof Piatek is the big striker that Everton desperately need

Everton have recently been linked with a move for a Polish striker. Napoli star Arkadiusz Milik has been tentatively linked as a potential target for Everton to strengthen their striking position.

However, as exciting as that deal looked, Everton are no doubt going to struggle to lure him away from Naples.

Instead, they should be targeting another Polish striker making waves in Italy.

Whilst Milik may have 11 goals in Italian football this season, Genoa striker Krzysztof Piatek has 19 in just 21 games. Such form has seen him linked with a host of top clubs and AC Milan, , are preparing a €40 million (£35.4 million) bid for the player this month as a potential replacement for Gonzalo Higuain.

Everton should undoubtedly be fighting for the player as well.

The Toffees need a potent threat in attack, with Richarlison struggling to maintain his early-season promise and the likes of Cenk Tosun and Oumar Niasse set to leave.

Piatek, who is being dubbed the ‘next Robert Lewandowski’, is exactly the type of goal threat that Everton should be trying to bring to Goodison Park.

Bring him in and, finally, they might start to fully click under the management of Marco Silva.
