For just £17.5m, Tottenham have to raid Bayern Munich for defender
Inter Milan are reportedly interested in signing Bayern Munich centre-back Jerome Boateng this summer for a bargain £17.5million, and Tottenham Hotspur simply have to join the race.
Bayern only want £17.5million for the 30-year-old, after the 76-time Germany international managed just 28 appearances in all competitions this season.
The seven-time Bundesliga winner has fallen out of favour in Niko Kovac’s side, with the Croatian boss preferring the likes of Mats Hummels and Niklas Sule.
The report claims that Boateng wants to try his luck in the Serie A or indeed the Premier League, but only Inter have so far registered an interest in the former Manchester City centre-back.

Toby Alderweireld’s future at Tottenham remains in enormous doubt. His contract only lasts until the summer of 2020 and includes a £25million release clause, which is likely to generate interest this summer.
Manchester United continue to be linked with the Belgian defender, and he would need replacing. Spurs have young, impressive centre-backs in Juan Foyth and Davinson Sanchez so it is not about bringing in a younger alternative.
Spurs need a player that is like for like, with a winning mentality and huge experience at the top level and in the Champions League. They need a player that can step into the shoes of Alderweireld.
Step forward, Boateng. One World Cup, one Champions League and seven Bundesliga titles, Boateng is a bargain at just £17.5million. He would be the perfect replacement for Alderweireld this summer.
