Following Timo Werner, Tottenham now need to sign ‘devastating’ winger taking Serie A by storm
Now close to completing a deal for Timo Werner, Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur side have had a stellar start to January.
It seems as if centre-back Radu Dragusin won’t be too far behind the German, meaning Spurs have wasted no time in achieving some early progress.

And with that in mind, Tottenham should now keep pressing to improve Postecoglou’s squad further in January.
There’s clearly opportunities to be had, and Spurs appear to have more financial wiggle room than some of the clubs around them.
Whilst scouting Dragusin at Genoa it seemed as if another player caught Tottenham’s eye, Icelandic winger Albert Gudmundsson.
26-year-old Gudmundsson was with the club a few times in recent months and now looks like a stellar addition.
The winger, who can play as a false nine and is very versatile across the forward line, has been in ‘devastating’ form in the Serie A.
Gudmundsson’s eight goals in 17 games have propelled Genoa to 12th in the league upon their return to the top flight.
And given what an ambitious and confident talent the winger appears to be, he could be a perfect player for Postecoglou to develop.
Albert Gudmundsson should be Ange Postecoglou’s next January Tottenham addition
Gudmundsson does appear to be hitting a strong growth curve in the Serie A right now, a player who has spent his entire senior career in Holland beforehand.
The winger is unlikely to cost Tottenham a huge amount of money and could be an immediate upgrade on the likes of Bryan Gil.

Moreover, with Juventus now said to be interested in signing Gudmundsson as well, Spurs could steal the march.
Perhaps a midfielder will be the final piece of the puzzle for Postecoglou’s Tottenham team in January, but another forward would definitely compliment the squad.
Although the likes of James Maddison and Son Heung-min will return in the coming weeks and months, Spurs are bound to experience more unavailability.
And with a possible title challenge in the works, and a top four spot looking very achievable, Tottenham should capitalise on their position.
Gudmundsson is on fire in the Serie A, and Spurs could land themselves a bargain.
