Florian Neuhaus comments on summer amid reported Liverpool and Spurs interest

Florian Neuhaus has told that he is focused on playing for Gladbach but left the door open for a summer move, amid reports that both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are considering the midfielder.

Neuhaus, 23, has been immense for Gladbach this season. Clocking up 30 appearances this season, the Germany international has surpassed 100 senior outings for Gladbach – and has had a hand in 12 goals this season.

His box-to-box performances from central midfield have caught the eye. in January that Tottenham, Bayern, Dortmund and Real Madrid are all interested, while Liverpool and Manchester City are keen.

Speaking about the increasing rumours circulating regarding his future, Neuhaus has kept the door slightly ajar over a summer move but has stated that his current focus remains on Gladbach and finishing the season well.

“I have a contract until 2024 and I have very big goals for this season,” . “That’s what I’m concentrating on now. [Transfer talk] is really not a big issue for me now. I play at Borussia, I have a contract.

“I can’t say what will happen in the summer at the moment. I’m also very relaxed about the future. Borussia is a club where I was able to develop excellently and where everything is there. I know what I have with Borussia.”

TBR’s view – Neuhaus could be a stunning signing

To churn out the performances Neuhaus is doing for a club like Gladbach, and already breaking into the senior Germany side, is impressive – given Neuhaus is just 23 years of age. He has the potential to be one of the best.

His style of play suits the Premier League, but Spurs, Liverpool or City? At City, he is going to struggle to get game time with Ilkay Gundogan on fire. The likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and others would keep him benched.

If Liverpool get rid of Gini Wijnaldum and Naby Keita, then a move to Anfield would suit Neuhaus – while Tottenham need a partner for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. Remaining in Germany is likely to tempt Neuhaus, too.

he has a £35million release clause in his Gladbach contract; that makes him a no-brainer this summer.
