After a lengthy saga, Marco Silva has finally arrived to lead the charge at Goodison Park and has kept his cards relatively close to his chest so far this summer as he is yet to secure the services of any player in the market.
That will surely change in the coming weeks and, with the World Cup now concluded, the Toffees may now be looking to push ahead with their transfer activity ahead of the 2018-19 Premier League season.
With both incoming and outgoing deals on the cards, we have identified five pieces of business that could go ahead this week.
Yerry Mina: Barcelona
After starring with Colombia at the World Cup, defensive prodigy Yerry Mina finds himself at a transfer crossroads despite only signing for Barcelona in January and LaLiga’s non-EU player regulations could see the 23-year-old offloaded.
state Everton are in talks with the Spanish champions, although it is not clear whether Barcelona are open to a permanent sale or whether a potential deal would be on-loan, as they wait to see where Mina features in Ernesto Valverde’s plans.
Having approved an exit for Ramiro Funes Mori already, Silva is in the market for a new central defender to compete with veterans Phil Jagielka and Ashley Williams.
Yannick Bolasie to Fenerbache
have stated that Turkish giants Fenerbache are pursuing a deal for Yannick Bolasie, who are looking at the DR Congo as a major signing to bolster their ranks ahead of their Champions League qualifying campaign.
Signing from Crystal Palace in 2016, a serious knee injury has limited Bolasie to just 32 appearances during that time and Marco Silva is said to be open to a sale, raising funds for potential swoops of his own.
A deal seems to be close, with Turkish outlet reported Bolasie has agreed terms with Fenerbache ahead of a loan switch.
Diego Laxalt: Genoa
After ending interest in Celtic’s Kieran Tierney, Everton are looking elsewhere in pursuit of a left-sided player to provide competition to Leighton Baines and their attention has been caught by a top-performer at the World Cup.
states Everton are considering a move for Genoa’s Uruguay defender Diego Laxalt, who can play on the left-sided of defence or as a winger, though they face competition in the market from Bournemouth and Crystal Palace.
According to the report, Everton are prepared to part with a fee of £18m to land the 25-year-old World Cup quarter-finalist.
Ademola Lookman to RB Leipzig
Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig have confirmed their interest on signing Ademola Lookman permanently, state, after the young England ace’s exceptional performances for the German side on-loan in the second-half of last season.
While Everton do not want to sell, Leipzig’s sporting director Ralf Rangnick has confirmed the club’s continued pursuit of the 20-year-old and even cheekily suggested that the talented winger was keen on a return.
“We’re still in talks over Ademola Lookman. We want him back and he wants to come.”

Abdoulaye Doucoure: Watford
It was only a matter of time before Marco Silva was linked with a raid on former employers Watford and the Hornets have denied they have rejected a bid from the Toffees for Abdoulaye Doucoure, the states.
The 25-year-old excelled for high-flying Watford last season and French outlet were the outlet to report the rejection of Everton’s £30m bid for Doucoure – and it is unlikely this is the last we have heard of this transfer saga.
Former France U21 international Doucoure has made 57 Premier League appearances for Watford since signing in 2016, scoring eight goals.
