‘Finished’: Journalist shares what Conte told him about Spurs future just before he got onto the Spurs bus

Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte has caused a storm on social media after raising doubts about his future following his side’s defeat to Burnley last night.
The Italian was a happy man after the win over Manchester City last weekend and it really did look like Spurs would kick on and go on a run until the end of the season.
However, just four days later, Tottenham suffered a 1-0 defeat to Burnley and Conte looked like he has had enough.
The Spurs boss made it clear in his interview after the game that he will assess his future with the board as what has happened to Tottenham over the last five games is simply unacceptable.
Journalist: Conte told me he’s finished at Tottenham
TalkSport’s Sam Matterface was the journalist who interviewed Conte after Tottenham’s defeat to Burnley yesterday.
He came on a few moments after finishing his duties and revealed what Conte told him just before he headed back into the corridor and onto the bus back to North London.
Matterface said: “The last thing I asked him before he walked out of the interview was ‘Are you going to be the manager when I turn up at Elland Road on Saturday for Leeds against Spurs?’
“He said: ‘I’ve finished, I’ve finished, I’m walking away’. He walks off down the corridor and away onto the Spurs bus.”

Conte to leave Spurs?
It really does look like Conte is set to leave Spurs, doesn’t it?
The Italian’s series of interviews before the Manchester City game made it clear to us that he wasn’t happy. He was vocal about his frustrations about Spurs’ January transfer business and fans were worried that he’d walk away.
The win at the Etihad made everyone forget about those problems, but just four days later, it again looks like Conte wants to walk away and it’s as clear as it can get now.
It will be really interesting to see how Daniel Levy will handle this situation now.
