‘Finally’: Some Liverpool fans react to what they’re hearing about ‘Bellingham 2.0’
Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after the revealed that the Reds have been scouting Fleetwood defender James Hill.
What’s the story?
Well, the believe Everton and Manchester United have also scouted the teenager, who is a key player for the League One side.
Burnley, Southampton and Rangers saw bids rejected for Hill over the summer.
Leicester full-back James Justin is another who has come from League One into the Premier League for peanuts, and taken to it like a duck to water.
Who knows? If Liverpool were a bit more proactive in the lower leagues, perhaps they would’ve been the ones to sign Jude Bellingham from Birmingham.
Now, the Reds are eyeing a club-record £80m deal for the 18-year-old, who could’ve been signed from the Championship a few years ago.
Yes, scouting Hill might seem underwhelming. However, if he becomes a new Alli, Justin or Bellingham, fans certainly won’t complain.
