‘Finally’: Fabrizio Romano has some exciting transfer news for West Ham fans
Fabrizio Romano has reported that West Ham United are closing in on a deal for Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri.
The Hammers had been in talks over the Italy international, but the deal looked like it was off earlier this week.
West Ham seemingly walked away from talks due to difficulties in agreeing personal terms.

However, discussions soon resumed.
On Friday morning, Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth wrote the following on Twitter:
And on Friday evening, Romano took to Twitter with some exciting news for West Ham fans.
The Hammers are reportedly ready to pay Chelsea £13m plus £2m in add-ons for the Euro 2020 winner.
Talks are also ongoing to try and agree personal terms, added Romano.
He suggested a breakthrough could take place early next weeks, with some details to be clarified over the weekend.
West Ham boss David Moyes has been keen to add a left-back all summer.
This would provide competition for Aaron Cresswell, who may also be needed in a back three.
West Ham are also short in that position following Arthur Masuaku’s move to Besiktas.
Now, it looks as though they’ll be getting a talented, experienced addition to their squad in Palmieri.
