‘Final details being sorted’: Fabrizio Romano claims Leeds closing in on ‘unbelievable’ signing
Leeds United are closing in on the signing of Hoffenheim’s Georginio Rutter, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Whites have been in talks with the Bundesliga side over the 20-year-old attacking ace.
Now, it looks as though Leeds are on the verge of striking a deal worth upwards of £26.5million for Rutter.

Romano wrote on : “Leeds United are closing in on deal to sign Georginio Rutter, confirmed.
“Final details being sorted between clubs, personal terms fully agreed days ago.
“Medical tests to be scheduled if all goes to plan. More than €30m to Hoffenheim.”
Meanwhile, claimed that, on Monday night, ‘Rutter was actively pushing for the move and ready to board a plane.’
Rutter would be Leeds’ second signing of the January transfer window if he joins.
The Elland Road outfit landed Austria defender Max Wober from Red Bull Salzburg for a reported £11million.
Leeds closing in on Rutter – factfile
Rutter has been with Hoffenheim since February 2021, when he joined from French outfit Rennes.
He has made 64 competitive appearances for the German side, registering 11 goals and eight assists.
This season, Rutter has made 15 Bundesliga outings, registering two goals and two assists.
The 20-year-old has also won two caps for France’s Under-21s.
In terms of style of play, Leeds fans can look forward to a player who has been likened to Serge Gnabry.
This is according to the official , which often shares in-depth feature articles on its rising stars.
‘Part centre-forward, part jet-heeled winger, there is something very Gnabry-esque about watching Rutter play,’ they wrote.
‘Even if he wears ‘Georginio’ on the back of his shirt as he believes it “suits his style better”.

‘He is among the 50 quickest players in the Bundesliga with a top speed of 34.54 km/h (21.46 mph), so his pace, direct running and mesmerising dribbling make him a handful for any defender.
‘Add into the mix that he is equally comfortable out wide as he is through the middle and it becomes clear just why the Hoffenheim No.33 is so highly regarded.’
Meanwhile, Hoffenheim sporting director Alexander Rosen has said of Rutter: “Georginio’s development over the last year with us has been breathtaking.
“He’s one of the most promising young players in European football and his move to Hoffenheim has helped him progress considerably.
“Despite his young age he already has an unbelievable blend of athleticism, technique, speed and an eye for goal.”
