Feyenoord send six-word message to Luis Sinisterra after his Leeds United move is confirmed
The transfer taking winger Luis Sinisterra from Feyenoord to Leeds United has now been confirmed by both clubs.
Whether or not the wideman proves to be a replacement for Raphinha remains to be seen but it seems Jesse Marsch has made another exciting signing.
The 23-year-old has made a name for himself at Feyenoord and enjoyed a superb season last time out, grabbing 23 goals and 14 assists from 49 club appearances in
He also has five Colombia caps to his name and will no doubt start adding to them more quickly in the coming years, as he hopes to establish himself as a Premier League regular.
Sinisterra to Leeds confirmed
He told his new : “I am very happy to be here in this beautiful club, I am enjoying this time. I know it’s a historic club with beautiful fans. I heard a lot of things about the stadium and atmosphere, it’s amazing so I can’t wait to feel that in person.
“It was my dream when I was a child [to play in the Premier League], right now I am close to making that. Of course I will work to bring this quality to Leeds.
“This is my feeling, that I want to do the same or even more for this team and for the fans. I think it is also one of my characteristics, to enjoy and make the fans happy with my skills, my quality and hopefully I can do that here at Elland Road.”
And his old club sent him off with a touching six-word message on Twitter:
That indicates the affection with which he is held at the Dutch club and he will hope Leeds fans soon take him to their hearts too.
He is an exciting prospect, and the big question is how well he can adjust to the demands of the Premier League from Dutch football.
Some players have made that transition look easy, while others have really struggled with the physicality, and Sinisterra will hope he falls into the first category.
