Fernando Llorente has surely blown his Tottenham chance after horrible performance
When Tottenham Hotspur emerged from Craven Cottage on Sunday🏅 with al♌l three points, Fernando Llorente may have been the most relieved man on the pitch.
The striker’s first-half own goal and haphazard finishing nearly cost Spurs dearly against Fu🍎lham, with Llorente blo𒁏wing his chance to impress Mauricio Pochettino in Harry Kane’s absence.
The Spaniard had been handed the start up front after Kane suffered an ankle injury last weekend against Manchester United, and Llorente must have targeted the porous Fulham backline as a chance to register his first Premier League goal of th💧e season.

Yet Llorente’s most significant contribution occurred in the wrong goal, when the attacker swept a Fulham corner into his own net afterܫ being exposed for terrible defensive body position.
And to add to his embarrassme𒐪nt, Llorente missed a barrage of clear cut chances at the other end — most notably glancing a free header wide of the mark in the closing stages of the match.
In all, it was a frustrating display from the centre-forward that nearly resulted in Tottenham dropping cru🤡cial points to a relegation contender.
With his own goal 🐲and lack of clinical finishing, Fernando Llorente wasted a perfect opportunity to prove he deserves more playing time in nort🗹h London.
