Fenerbahce offered Xherdan Shaqiri transfer by agent of Liverpool forward
According to , Fenerbahce have been offered the chance to sign Liverpool forward Xherdan Shaqiri in the summer transfer window.
The Super Lig giants have been approached by the Swiss winger’s agent and brother, Erdin, who outlined his demands for a deal.
Shaqiri is after a €3million (£50k-p/w) a year contract to move to Istanbul, where the Yellow Canaries have long held an interest.
The Fenerbahce hierarchy are reluctant to pay Shaqiri anything above €2.5m (£41k-p/w) but will included performance-related bonuses to reach a compromise.
Liverpool are ready to sell Shaqiri for a low fee after he cut a fringe role under Jurgen Klopp this season. The 29-year-old only in the Reds’ last 10 Premier League games, while starting five all season.
Shaqiri is ready to sign with Fenerbahce if the Turkish outfit agree to his demands, and a transfer could be finalised with Liverpool before the start of Euro 2020.
The former Bayern Munich forward has two years remaining on his £80,000-per-week () contract at Anfield, signed upon arriving in a £13m () deal in 2018.

It is clear that Shaqiri is no longer a key part of Klopp’s plans, otherwise he would have played a more instrumental role in Liverpool’s bid for Champions League qualification.
Fenerbahce may be an ideal destination for the winger if they can offer him more regular game time with personal terms close.
But the Estadio Sukru Saracoglu side face competition from Roma, Lazio and Sevilla, who were recently linked by alongside Fenerbahce.
It seems the Turkish outfit are Shaqiri’s preferred destination, though, so a deal for the winger may well be on the cards with his exit almost inevitable.
Any move away from Merseyside would show how far Shaqiri fell in Klopp’s thoughts, having claimed he looked ‘promising’ in September ().
