Felipe Anderson wants West Ham to be ‘invincible’ at the London Stadium

West Ham United star Felipe Anderson has revealed the team want to become unbeatable at home this season.

The Hammers recorded a 2-0 win over Norwich City at the weekend, which has their second home fixture of the season.

The Irons were beaten 5-0 in their first outing at home by Premier League champions Manchester City, which Anderson says was disappointing.

The club have been solid on their travels so far, drawing with Brighton and beating Watford and Newport County in the Carabao Cup.

, Anderson, who has made a fine start to the new season, said: “I have always said that West Ham have the quality to play against any rival.

“Our idea is to be invincible at home and then try to get results away. So, we can play against anyone and we know it, but we also know that we have to go step by step.”

TBR’s view

If West Ham really can turn the London Stadium into a fortress this term, then European football could well beckon next season.

Since the move from Upton Park, the Hammers have done OK at their new ground but they are yet to forge a serious reputation.

They have shown much better character so far on their travels, and so they have to make sure the home form is fairly constant for the away points to make a real difference.

Certainly if key players like Anderson, Manuel Lanzini and Sebastien Haller can keep up a good level then West Ham will be difficult to topple wherever they’re playing.
