Felipe Anderson gives huge praise to West Ham midfielder Declan Rice

Felipe Anderson has raved about West Ham talisman Declan Rice, as well as revealing he gives 100 per cent in every single training session.

Anderson, 27, has left the Hammers to join Porto on a season-long loan and was drifting out of favour with manager David Moyes.

But on the other side of the spectrum is highly-rated midfielder Rice, who has to be considered one of the first names on the team sheet each week.

Rice is currently away on international duty with England during the two-week break from domestic action, where he has started to become an important player for boss Gareth Southgate.

The 21-year-old is an all-action central midfielder that is excellent at reading the game and breaking up play, plus his work on the ball is fairly underrated and he can drive forward in possession.

Anderson has given a small insight into his quality:

“He’s humble, he knows he is a great player but he always keeps growing. He doesn’t stop to learn from the experience. He’s humble, he every day in training does 100 per cent,”

TBR’s View:

There is no doubt that Rice is the most valuable asset at West Ham, so keeping him at the London Stadium during the summer transfer window was massive for them and he helps them so much on the pitch.

He’s already a leader in the dressing room at such a young age having come through the academy system and surely it will be such a big task trying to keep hold of him in the long-term.

West Ham supporters should enjoy him while they can and right now they will be delighted with back-to-back Premier League victories over Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leicester City.
