Liverpool have completed their second signing of the summer after striking a deal for Juventus winger Federico Chiesa.
After an underwhelming start to the summer, the Reds are ending the window on a high after announcing the 26-year-old’s arrival on Thursday afternoon.
Liverpool struck an £11million deal for Chiesa with Juventus eager to offload the Italy international after falling out of Thiago Motta’s plans.
He will join a talented forward department at Anfield that includes Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo.
Chiesa has been cited as a long-term replacement for Salah with the Egyptian star linked with a move to Saudi Arabia as he enters the final year of his contract.
At £11m, the Federico Chiesa deal looks like a bargain, but it has only ramped up speculation about what wages he is earning on Merseyside.

Federico Chiesa’s wages at Liverpool
According to , Chiesa has not taken a pay cut to join Liverpool and is on the same wage packet he earned in Turin.
Italian outlet report that Chiesa is set to earn £115,000 per week after signing a four-year deal with Liverpool.
While it is a considerable pay package, it does not rank Chiesa among Liverpool’s highest earners, and means he will earn close to £24million over his four-year deal.
Federico Chiesa is a bargain
An £11million fee and £115,000 per week wages is an absolute steal for Liverpool.
There has been a lot of criticism about the way they have handled the summer with the hierarchy not exactly splashing the cash to back Slot in his first season.
But their deal for Chiesa shows that their patience has paid off and Liverpool may have just stole the signing of the summer.
