Enzo Maresca says £25m Chelsea player is nowhere near good enough at the moment
Chelsea have had a seemingly endless revolving door of players in the last few seasons and while the ship has steadied under Enzo Maresca, the Blues boss has suggested one of his stars is not quite good enough.
Maresca has overse💮en a big turnaround at Chelsea and currently has them in fꦺourth, just ten points off top spot.
For Maresca, it was all about narrowing the group down when he arriveไd and he has done that successfully, with a core๊ 24-25 players now featuring for the Blues.
Still, the club remain active in the market. Chelsea are keen on Alejandro Garnacho this month and there is a chance Garnacho is swapped with Christopher Nkunku.
However, going into next season, Maresca has hinted at another potential upgrade. This time, in the form of hi💟s goalkeeper, Robert Sanchez.

Robert Sanchez told he’s not good enough for Chelsea just yet
Sanchez has been the main man in the sticks for Chelsea this season but has, at 🐈times, been dropped for silly mistakes or simply for rota෴tion.
And now, Enzo Maresca has claimed th🌼at his number one might not actually be good enough ju💟st yet.
In quotes provided by Fabrizio Romano on the situation with S💞anchez, Maresca has said that while he is sticking with his man for now,ꦗ he is not near the level required just yet.
“I’m thinking about this season. For this season, no doubt. But in the future, we💙 don’t know. He’s getting better but he’s still far, far, far from where I want him to be,𝐆” Maresca said.
Chelsea paid for San🤪chez and any replacement is likely to cost big money.
Maresca will be looking at Man City and Liverpool as examples
The comments from Maresca might seem a b🐓it harsh here but much like Pep Guardiola at City, he is a man who demands the best and wants more all the time.
Robert Sanchez is doing fine for now but it’s obvious to the naked eye that he’s not at the level of some of the world’s bes🐬t goalkeepers.
Maresca will no doubt point to his time at City where Ederson came in and made a huꦚge difference, while Liverpool spent a huge sum on Alisson Becker but have been rewarded over time.
Chel🍨sea, then, will need to get their next signing right in goal if they are to ever really challenge.
