‘Fantastic’ Tottenham player spotted in pre-Villa training video after injury issues

Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte has been putting his players through their paces in training ahead of their weekend meeting with Aston Villa.

Spurs are in superb form going into Saturday’s late Premier League kickoff in the West Midlands.

Tottenham have won their last three league games and hammered Newcastle 5-1 at N17 last time out.

Spurs now sit fourth in the Premier League table with eight games to go in the 2021-22 campaign.

On Tuesday, Spurs shared footage from first-team training at Hotspur Way.

And Ryan Sessegnon was spotted in the , walking around the gym 18 seconds in.

The 21-year-old has finally made his first-team breakthrough this season, featuring prominently at left wing-back.

Indeed, Sessegnon made six consecutive starts for Tottenham for the first time.

However, he in Spurs’ 5-0 win over Everton last month.

But during his pre-match press conference, Conte was able to give a positive update on Sessegnon.

“Good news for Oliver, for Skippy and Sessegnon,” quoted him as saying.

“They are very, very close to being back with the team. They’re improving a lot.

“They’re having important training sessions.

“Not with the team, apart, but I hope next week to have both players with the team, Ryan Sessegnon and Oliver Skipp.”

Sadly, Skipp appears to have suffered another setback.

According to the , the midfielder felt discomfort on his return to outdoor training.

Meanwhile, Sessegnon – a player who Conte has deemed “fantastic” – was spotted walking around in the video.

Although he wasn’t taking part in the session, his return to the training facilities suggests he’s on the right track.
