‘Fantastic’: Ralph Hasenhuttl very impressed by what Liverpool forward did in the 27th minute last night
Ralph Hasenhuttl has praised Takumi Minamino’s equaliser for Liverpool in their 2-1 win over Southampton last night.
Nathan Redmond put Liverpool behind with a deflected effort before Minamino produced a powerful finish to level the scores.
and that is why he produced a muted celebration.
Joel Matip won the game for Liverpool to take the title race to the final game of the season, where they will chase Manchester City until the very last.

Hasenhuttl praised Minamino equaliser
Speaking after the game, Hasenhuttl said: “You cannot defend all the time and we tried to build up, but it didn’t really work very often.
“We tried to stay in the game for as long as possible and we had a perfect start, but conceded a perfect goal.
“It’s still not good enough defending in the box when you have so many players around.
“Taki does it fantastic, but it is too simple.”
Minamino has not played as often as he would have liked this season, but Jurgen Klopp spoke earlier this month about how impressed he has been with the Japan international in training.
Liverpool made nine changes last night but the players who came in were keen to do their bit to keep the title charge on course.
Minamino did exactly that, coming up with some magic when Liverpool needed it most and now they are two games away from making history.
