‘Fantastic’ player now wanted by title-winning club after being released by Arsenal
Arsenal have usually been one of the biggest players in recent summer transfer windows, yet this time around it’s been rather quiet for the Gunners.
The north London side have made just the one signing in Riccardo Calafiori, though Arsenal have agreed to bring in Mikel Merino from Real Sociedad, with an official announcement the only thing missing from the deal.
With Arsenal also interested in signing Nico Williams, Mikel Arteta could make a third transfer for the Gunners to bolster their ranks ahead of what could be an incredibly important season for the Premier League giants.
Yet one player who Arsenal released could be set for an impressive move.

Cedric Soares wanted by Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven
According to , Cedric Soares has caught the attention of PSV Eindhoven, with Feyenoord also interested in signing the former Arsenal defender, who is yet to find a new club.
Branded by Arsenal legend Gilberto Silva as , Cedric hardly kicked a ball for the Gunners last season with Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu ahead of the Portuguese international in the right-back pecking order.
And with the defender struggling to find a new club despite being a free agent since the start of the summer, time is quickly running out for Cedric to find the next step in his career.
However, with PSV interested in the former Southampton star alongside Feyenoord, it might be long before the defender has a new place to call home, with the Netherlands an ideal destination for Cedric.

Cedric could do a solid job for a top European club
Although never really a fan favourite at the Emirates Stadium, Cedric was more than solid for Arsenal during his time under Arteta, with the defender making 64 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners.
Yet at 32-years-old, Cedric could still be a good signing for a top European club looking to add some depth in their defence, with the Portuguese international as experienced as they come in the current free agent market.
And with PSV and Feyenoord interested, Cedric could have a lot of options to pick from before the closure of the window, with a move now likely for the former Arsenal right-back.
