‘Fantastic against Arsenal’… Manager says player Tottenham Hotspur want is destined for greatness
Johan Bakayoko has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur, and PSV Eindhoven manager Peter Bosz’s verdict on him is surely going to please the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium faithful.
Bosz thinks Bakayoko is a gem and has noted how far he can go in his career.
So, what has Peter Bosz said about Tottenham Hotspur target Johan Bakayoko? Let’s take a look.
Praise for Tottenham Hotspur target Johan Bakayoko
Well, Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs who have been linked with Johan Bakayoko.
reported in November 2023 that Spurs and Brentford are keeping tabs on the 20-year-old, who can operate as a winger or forward. Liverpool are also interested.
Bakayoko is very young, but he is still making an impact at PSV, who are 10 points clear at the top of the Eredivisie table.
The forward has made 14 starts and two substitute appearances in the Eredivisie this season. He has scored three goals and given eight assists in those games.
Bakayoko has also scored one goal and given one assist in six UEFA Champions League games for PSV this campaign.

The Belgium international has by playing on the right flank and as a number 10. Fabrizio Romano thinks that he is “an elite talent”.
PSV manager Peter Bosz rates Bakayoko highly. He believes that the forward is destined to leave his club for a bigger team and has tipped him to go right to the top.
The PSV manager has noted how well the youngster in the UEFA Champions League .
Bosz told about Bakayoko when asked if he is destined for one of the biggest clubs: “I think so — and we have more. In the end, Johan said he wanted to stay and he was right.
“This is his first year as a starting player, and the most difficult part is consistency. Johan was fantastic against Arsenal but I want him to be fantastic every weekend.”
Tottenham will have to wait until the summer to sign Bakayoko
In my view, Tottenham Hotspur will have to wait until the end of the season to sign Johan Bakayoko. I do not see PSV selling the forward in the middle of the season.
After all, PSV could win the Eredivisie title this campaign. Why would they damage their chances of having a successful season by selling one of their best players in January?
Bosz knows that PSV will have to sell Bakayoko, and Spurs could be able to sign him, but I believe that the North London club will have to wait until the summer of 2024 to get a deal done.
