Rangers fans will have been debating whether the decision to let Ross McCrorie leave Ibrox will come back to haunt Steven Gerrard’s side or not since his departure earlier this week.
McCrorie is technically still a Gers player. However, he appears to have made his final appearance for the club that his loan move to Aberdeen will become permanent next summer.

And Dons fans got their first glimpse of the youngster on Thursday as he made his debut in a Scottish Premiership clash with St Johnstone.
In truth, it was an extremely poor game. Derek McInnes’s men won 1-0 with a deflected effort during the second-half.

However, McCrorie’s display has left plenty of Aberdeen supporters feeling optimistic that he will prove to be a fantastic signing.
The 22-year-old was deployed in a couple of roles throughout the game. He was used at centre-back and as more of a right-back during the contest.
There were a couple of strong challenges from McCrorie. And he seemed to stay quite disciplined in sticking to his task.
‘Great debut’
It may not have been the kind of night that allowed McCrorie to prove a massive point to Rangers. But he did manage to do enough to impress the Aberdeen fans.
Here is how some of them reacted on social media…
McCrorie looks very very good. Great on the ball and reads game well. Him n Ferguson in the middle will be good to see.

Thoughts:
• Phew!
• Hedges deserves an extended run in the team
• McCrorie can stay
• Thought Wright also had a good game under the circumstances
• Ojo = Oh no…— Martin Ingram (@air_ingy)
Ross McCrorie was tremendous tonight. Great debut tonight

Ugly, ugly, painful to watch football. McCrorie, Hoban and the Bandana the only pass marks.

Yessss! Considering that we haven’t played for so long and players missing, I’m happy with that. Pleased with McCrorie’s debut. Well done Hedges

McCrorie and Hoban looked great!
Onwards and upwards! Win our 2 games in hand and we’re 1 point off top 😏

Take that all day. Much to do but great 3 points. Second half better. McCrorie on that display will be an immense signing. The boy is a player. 🙂

You can just tell Ross McCrorie will be very, very good for us up here
