Fans react on Twitter to Liverpool loanee Harry Wilson’s international display

A number of fans, including some Liverpool supporters, have taken to Twitter to laud Harry Wilson following his goal and overall display for Wales on Wednesday.

It ultimately proved to be a disappointing night for the Welsh out in Belgium. After taking the lead, they were beaten 3-1 by Roberto Martinez’s side.

However, they highlighted what they could do with a stunning opening goal. And it was Wilson who rounded off the brilliant team move.

The 24-year-old produced a delicious first-team finish after getting on the end of Gareth Bale’s perfectly-weighted pass into the box.

Wilson was deployed in a false nine role for the Welsh. And it seemed to be a position he was more than comfortable in as he proved to be a threat throughout the evening before he came off in the second-half.

It surprised many when Wilson was loaned out to a Championship side in the summer. If he was not in Jurgen Klopp’s plans, it seemed inevitable that another Premier League team would show an interest.

However, it was Cardiff who benefitted. And he has done well in the second tier. He has scored four goals and provided nine assists.

And following his latest goal, several supporters – including some from Liverpool – have lauded the attacker.

Some insisted that he was Wales’s best player on the night. And his display arguably hinted that he is one to keep an eye out for when the summer window opens.

Here is what some of those looking on made of Wilson’s performance…
