Fans react as report links Domagoj Vida with Villa Park switch
Aston Villa fans have reacted to a report that the club could move for Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida next month.
the Midlands club are ready to battle Watford for the Croatia international, who caught the eye with a string of impressive displays at the 2018 World Cup.

Vida was outstanding at the back alongside Dejan Lovren, and he could now be on the move.
Apparently Besiktas have some financial problems at the moment and may be open to selling Vida, who earns £56,000-a-week and is the club’s best-paid player.
Villa have been struggling defensively this season, and it is easy to understand why Dean Smith might be after reinforcements next month.
30-year-old Vida has a wealth of experience and has played for the likes of Dinamo Zagreb and Dynamo Kyiv.

He is known for his aggression and tenacity at the back, but arguably lacks a turn of pace and stands at just 6ft tall.
Villa fans react
Villa fans online appear quite split over the idea of Vida joining their club:
He was impressive for Croatia in Russia, not seen or heard much of him since then but a bit of quality and experience adding doesn’t hurt

The ultimate baddie.

I really hope this is wrong. Centre back is fine. It’s a lack of depth at left back, right back and striker that’s been our source of problems.

Bang on if available! Impressive, no nonsense defender in World Cup. Yes Wesley needs competition, but the issue is not up top, as we score virtually every games, but have conceded not far off 30 goals already.
