Greg Docherty joined a number of Rangers and Portsmouth fans in replying to Ross McCrorie after the Gers-owned defender took to social media to celebrate his current side reaching the EFL Trophy final on Tuesday.
Pompey’s defence of the trophy they won last season continues. But a stunning stoppage-time comeback was required for Kenny Jackett’s side.

They had gone 2-1 behind in the 89th minute in their semi-final. But the home side scored twice to beat Exeter City 3-2 at Fratton Park.
Rangers loanee McCrorie – who started at right-back – provided the assist for the equaliser. And unsurprisingly, he was keen to take to Twitter to express his delight at the win.

McCrorie has endured an incredibly frustrating time since leaving Ibrox in the summer. He has been extremely impressive on a number of occasions, but he has also struggled with injury throughout the campaign.
He will be hoping that those problems are now behind him. And he will be targeting helping Pompey retain their crown while also pushing for promotion out of League One.
There was a lot of love shown for McCrorie on social media. Fellow Rangers loanee Docherty was amongst those to send a message to the youngster.
There were plenty of plaudits coming McCrorie’s way. Some Portsmouth fans lauded his display in the win, while Rangers supporters expressed their excitement for his return to Ibrox in the summer.
Here is McCrorie’s tweet as well as some of the responses…
