Fabrizio Romano suggests ‘special’ £68m player could leave club this summer after Arsenal links
Fabrizio Romano may now have provided some encouraging transfer news for Arsenal ahead of the big summer to come.
Mikel Arteta’sꦕ side chose to ignore the January window in terms of players arriving, a decision that now looks well justified.

🃏Arsenal’s squad looks strong right now, even with the players missing.
And if Arteta is soon able to call upon the likes of Jurrien Timber and Thomas Partey🐭, there’s definitely sufficient quality to mount a serious title challenge.
ꦜThat being said, Arsenal must have big plans for the summer ahead.
Gabriel Jesus’ latest unavailability proves just how much a new striker is needed, especially considering Arteta hasn’t turned to Eddie Nketiah.
And as well as a player like Ivan Toney🌄, Arsenal also require another central midfielder and defender as a matter of priority.
ꦿArteta is still a player short in both departments, which could be exacerbated by departures in the summer too.
And with that being said, the club really need another centre-back capable of replacing both Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba.
Signing Matthijs De Ligt would be a big statement of ambition by Arsenal this summer
To that end, Arsenal have been linked with an ambitious move for Bayern Munich’s Matthijs De Ligt in the past.
It was recently revealed that he’s unhappy with his lack of minutes at the club.

♐And on the back of that news, has declared that de Ligt’s future is ‘one to watch’ in the summer.
🗹Romano shared his update on X, furthering the idea that the defender isn’t content with his playing time.
𝓰He said: “Matthijs de Ligt situation remains one to watch for the summer transfer window.
♏“Dutch defender didn’t start for Bayern vs Leverkusen and was asked about his physical condition: “Fit enough to start? Top fit!”, he replied to BILD.”
Of course, if a ‘‘ player like De Ligt were available in the summer, it could prove a big opportunity for Arsenal, perhaps one too good to ignore.
💎Whilst the Dutchman may not be an immediate starter in North London either, he surely would play plenty of football.
That being said, Arteta does now have a defender in his squad who’s showing a whole new side to his game.
