Fabrizio Romano shares who Tottenham will try and sign next after confirming Timo Werner deal

Tottenham Hotspur will now turn their full attention to signing Genoa defender Radu Dragusin after completing a deal for Timo Werner.

Werner is set to sign for Spurs over the weekend. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the deal to bring Werner to Spurs is done, while David Ornstein has said a permanent option of around £15m has also been added in.

Werner was left out of the RB Leipzig squad today ahead of flying into England.

Now that the deal for Werner is done, has taken to social media to name the player Tottenham want to sign next. And that man is Genoa defender Dragusin.

Tottenham to push on to sign Radu Dragusin

Dragusin has emerged as the top signing for manager Ange Postecoglou when it comes to strengthening his defence.

Reports have claimed Spurs have had one bid rejected for the Romanian but remain keen. There has also been a concern that Napoli could beat them to the punch as well.

However, it now looks like full steam ahead for Tottenham in their pursuit of the defender.

Romano’s short but sweet update suggests Spurs will no press on with trying to sign the young Genoa star.

The defender is thought to be keen on moving to England and has that as a preference over making the move to Naples.

Tottenham boss Postecoglou has made no secret of his desire to add to the squad this month and it looks like he is going to get his wish.

With Werner through the door and a deal for Dragusin now being pursued, the Aussie will have a squad much better equipped for the second half of the season.

Meanwhile, Eric Dier is set to leave the club. Bayern Munich are keen on taking Dier from Tottenham and Postecoglou said last night he is open to letting him leave.
