Fabrizio Romano shares whether Arsenal are still searching for a striker after Benjamin Sesko breakdown

Arsenal remain waiting for their first signing of this summer’s transfer window with pre-season training now underway.

ဣThe Gunners have made their return to on-field action as the new campaign quickly approaches.

However, Mikel Arteta is still waiting to see some new faces come through the doors at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenalജ‘s 2023/24 campaign was one to remember but falling just two points short of the title shows some good business this summer could see them over the line.

There was not a lot between the Gunners and Manchester City👍 last season which leaves a lot riding on the business done in the coming weeks.

Where Arsenal lie in their search for a striker

Earlier in the transfer window, Arsenal were heavily linked with a potential move for the Slovakian striker Benjamin Sesko.

The north London side are said to ꦕlove the young striker and are continuing to monitor his situation.

꧃However, their hopes of signing him this summer from RB Leipzig took a major hit after he inked a new deal with the Germans.

🌳But this leaves Arsenal with a decision to make on whether to pursue another option.

🐎According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal’s striker situation has to be kept open this summer despite losing out in their pursuit of Sesko.

🐻‘There has been some suggestion that Arsenal will no longer necessarily be making a striker a top priority target after missing out on Benjamin Sesko, but I’d keep this situation open,’ he said on his .

✃‘No decision has been made yet, it will also depend on the opportunities. Sesko was an opportunity, but then he decided to stay at Leipzig. Let’s see how Arsenal decide to move on the market in the next days and weeks.’

Gabriel Jesusไ had a season to forget having only found the back of the net four times in the league.

Meanwhile, Kai Havertz💫 impressed with the German providing Arsenal with 13 Premier League goals.

ღ However, it is those fine margins which could decide the title this season and having a reliable striker to chip in 20+ goals in the season could be a huge addition for the Gunners.

🍌But if Arsenal have identified Sesko as they player they want, then perhaps they may be forced to put this striker search on hold for another year.
