Fabrizio Romano shares what Tottenham’s Bryan Gil has just decided after Brighton links

Tottenham Hotspur star Bryan Gil has been heavily linked with a move to Brighton and Hove Albion today, and Fabrizio Romano has just shared the latest.

The Spaniard’s future has been up in the air for a few days now. A number of clubs have been rumoured to be interested in him, but it looks like Gil is staying at Tottenham at least until the summer.

Bryan Gil has barely played for Tottenham under Ange Postecoglou this season.

The Spaniard, who joined Spurs back in 2021, has failed to fulfil his potential, and there have been numerous rumours about his future as a result.

Roberto De Zerbi’s Brighton were heavily linked with a move to sign Gil, with reports claiming they will make a deadline-day move to sign him on loan.

Tottenham were ready to let him go, but it looks like the 22-year-old has decided against it.

Fabrizio Romano has just revealed that Gil has ‘not changed his mind’ about his Spurs future. He will stay in North London beyond tonight’s deadline.

The journalist further adds that the Spaniard ‘never’ wanted to go out on loan again.

He : “Understand Bryan Gil has not changed his mind, he’s staying at Tottenham despite many links.

“Gil never wanted to make another loan move in January and this hasn’t changed so far. Bryan, happy at Spurs and ready to do his best for #THFC.”

It will be interesting to see how much more Gil will play in the coming months for Tottenham. So far, he has been given just 217 minutes of game time in all competitions.
